I was watching Design to Sell the other day, and saw the coolest idea for the bedroom. I know your thinking to yourself, " well I'm not selling my home so why would I do this?" but some of the easiest tricks used for selling can be applied to your own place too. I mean why should a home only look great when it's time to sell?! So the most awesome and fashion forward idea I found was a DIY (Do It Yourself) Headboard.
I know it sounds complicated, but it really isn't. All you need is a flat wooden board, measured the width of your bed frame; padding, a staple gun; and the fabric of your choice. First you staple the padding to the front side of the board starting at one edge and work your way around the entire rectangle. Then you do the same with fabric you have chosen. Lastly, you will need two 2X4 pieces of wood; one to be drilled into the wall to hold the headboard, and the other to be attached to the back of the wooden board at the top. The headboard will slide on top of the the 2X4 on the wall and be held in place with the other 2X4 on the haedboard. The entire project will take about an hour and cost less than $100. This is a genius idea to add your own personal style and flair to the bedroom.
